January update

Well, January was off to a rough start of this new year! It began with Doodle Bug coming down with an awful cough and double ear infection. Luckily, he got over it quickly and he was well again in 5-7 days.
Unfortunately, I got it next! Mine started on January 8. Coughing and sore throat. There isn't much you can take while pregnant, so the doctors prescribed Clindamycin. I took it for a week and it didn't clear up the cold, it turned into conjunctivitis...yuck. I was given a low dose of eye drops antibiotics and sent on my way. Two days later I had a SEVERE ear ache. Have you ever had an ear ache as an adult? OMG! I would have rather given birth than deal with that pain! So the doctor gave me ear drops. Three days later, Sinusitis! Seriously, I was at my witts end! I begged Hubby to just take me to the hospital and drop me off. He wouldn't. So I begged my Doctor to give me penicillin even though I'm allergic to it. I'd suffer through the reaction, just to get rid of this cold. He wouldn't. He gave me an other prescription of Clindamycin. Yep, the same drugs that didn't work before, now I'm back on them. A week later, now we are into February, I finished the drugs, but felt worse. Finally, after a month of hell, my OB would finally see me. I went in and explained what has been going on over the last month and said I've had enough. Either cut the baby out and give me drugs, or find something that will work and is safe for the baby! She prescribed and ZPack. I just finished that prescription yesterday (February 9) and today is the first day that I actually am feeling back to myself. I still have this annoying cough, but I can live with that for now.
So, needless to say, we did not do much for the month of January. In fact, the only thing we did was take Doodle bug to the Monster Truck Show. We had bought the tickets back in December, and I didn't care how bad I felt, I wasn't missing his first truck show. He loves to watch the trucks on T.V. So when he saw them in person, he was wide eyed and all smiles. Here are some pictures from the show.

Grave Digger and the Puppy truck are his 2 favorites!

Here is Grave Digger!

You can barely tell I'm pregnant! And, I'm 7 months!!!!
Below are just some cute pics of DB eating a cupcake.

He hates to have food on his face, so he always keeps a napkin handy :)
