Pictures with the Easter Bunny

Woohoo! This is my 100th post!!!
After breakfast, we had a practice Easter Egg Hunt. I thought I would have to do a lot of teaching, but Doodle Bug knew exactly what to do! Here he is reaching for a high egg.

This egg was low (Daddy was in charge of hiding the eggs)

After the Easter Egg Hunt, we went to the mall to get our picture taken with the Easter Bunny. We had to wait for an hour. Doodles was pretty good. He was still in the "egg hunt" mode and kept trying to get the eggs from the Easter decorations. The people at the mall were smart and hot glued them in place so that curious little finger couldn't take them!

Here are the only pictures we got with the Easter Bunny...

Oooh! I like the back of my hair. I just got it cut yesterday and this was the first time I saw it...cute ;o)

Doodles was terrified!!! He held squeezed me soooo tight and wanted nothing to do with the Easter Bunny!!
Right next to the Easter Bunny, the photographers had a cute spring display set up so that they could get more money out of weak parents, I mean, so that you could get MORE cute pictures of your kids! Doodle Bug was very cooperative here and we got a few good shots! Enjoy.

Birthday Bash

Doodle Bug's Grandma and Great Grandma both have the same birthday. So we invited everyone over to our house to celebrate. Hubby made delicious wings and ribs and I was in charge of the cake. I tried a new recipe, Strawberry Margarita Cake.

I spread strawberry jam and added slices of fresh strawberries in the middle.
Then frosted it with cool whip frosting that had a hint of lime.

Then topped it off with a strawberry and lime.

Doodle Bug loves to help open gifts and cards...as you can see!

Grandma decided to play with Doodle's toys! Just kidding, she was sitting on Mater and Doodle Bug WAS pushing her around the house, I just wasn't fast enough with the camera to get the picture!

Here is Doodle Bug's Uncle C and his girlfriend.

The dog below belongs to Uncle C and his girlfriend. Doodle Bug learned quickly to close his mouth when a doggie tries to kiss you!!

The party didn't end till around 9:30pm. Doodles crawled under his highchair and proceeded to go to sleep!

Easter Egg Fun!

Doodle Bug's Grandma, Pat, and Granny came over on Sunday and we all helped Doodles finger paint Easter Eggs. Doodles is funny...he doesn't like to get the paint all over his fingers, but when he's eating pudding he mashes his hands in it and gets all dirty! Here are the finished products:

And of course, I have to end with a cute picture of my little guy.

Boo Boo Palooza!!

Doodle Bug has decided he doesn't want to walk anymore...instead he RUNS!! Well, this has led to many boo-boos lately! People who don't know me (and probably those who do) must want to call child services!!
His first boo-boo happened in South Florida on Tuesday. Grandma bought Doodles a toy lawnmower as an early Easter present. He LOVES pushing it around. We took him and the lawnmower to the park and Doodles wanted to push it on the sidewalk. While pushing the lawnmower he fell to one knee and scraped it. See below.

Then, when we got back to Orlando, Thursday morning we were walking to the car (I was walking, he was running) he tripped and fell. He put his hands out first and they got scraped, but his poor little head hit the driveway and he got a scrape there too! I felt awful!!!! It was just a minor bump to the head because his hand braced the fall, but I just get so worried when it comes to the head. I wanted to take him to the hospital for x-rays, but Hubby said I was over reacting!

Doodles, however, LOVES his boo-boos and will point to them whenever he is asked. He is very proud to show them off to whoever he sees!
I'll end with a cute, boo-boo free picture of my handsome little man!!

Disney for the second weekend in a row!!!!

Well, I guess we are getting our moneys worth out of our Annual Disney Tickets. Our friends from Chicago came down to Florida and we met them at Disney. We hadn't seen each other in about 5 years. Here are the Dads getting the boys together for the first time

Doodle bug was getting fussy before this picture, but as soon as he is on the horse, it's all smiles!

Father and son taking a break...

This is such a great family shot! I love how 8 month old Q is reaching for Buzz!

Doodle Bug didn't know what to make of Buzz!

Video Viernes

I've been meaning to post a video of Doodle Bug for a while now and just haven't had the time (they take so long to upload on my computer!) Anyways, DB loves to play Ring Around the Rosie!! I love how cautious he is when it is time to "fall down". Enjoy!

There is a reason behind this picture...

One of my friends tagged me in her blog a couple of months ago and I am finally getting around to this. I thought it was a cute way to show off a random picture and get some of my friends who haven't blogged in awhile to blog :)

Here are the rules:
1. Open your first photo folder
2. Scroll down to the 10th picture in your folder (if you don't have 10 pictures, go to the next folder that does)
3. Post that photo and tell your story behind the photo.
4. Tag 5 friends to do the same

Ha! This is definitely random. This picture was taken on 11/22/2001 and it is over the Thanksgiving holiday. Hubby's family and I all went to the Grand Canyon...and no body fell! We all had so much fun on that trip. It was the first time I met Hubby's Aunt D., Uncle S., and cousin A and J!!!

Now it's your turn! I am tagging: Tara, Sharen, Shelley, Stephanie, and Michelle. :o)

Doodle Bug's Day of Disney!

Today was all about Doodle Bug! He woke up and drank his smoothie from a real cup! No lid!! He doesn't eat fruits and veggies any more, so I have to throw bananas, strawberries, blueberries, and spinach in the blender to get him to eat! He is doing pretty well drinking the smoothie from a cup, but other liquids spill out too fast and make a HUGE mess!

Then he had cinnamon buns for breakfast. Shirt off for this one because I thought he would make a huge mess, but he didn't!

After breakfast, we were off to Disney. Hubby and I volunteered at a Gift for Teaching for a day in January and we were given two Disney vouchers. We turned them in and earned a credit towards an annual pass.

Doodle Bug is obsessed with trains. As we were driving into Disney, he could see the monorails over head and would point to them and say "choo choo". Needless to say, he enjoyed his first ride on the monorail!

Here is the "must have" shot in front of the castle. It didn't turn out too well, so well have to redo it next time.

Doodle Bug was all smiles on the people mover in Tomorrowland! He did get a little scared when it was all dark in Space Mountain!

DB really wanted to ride the go carts, but he was 1 inch too short! He was VERY disappointed!!! We took him on the Tea Cups instead.

Daddy spun us WAY TOO FAST!!!! Doodle Bug's eyes were spinning in his head! He jumped into my arms where he felt safer.

Of course we had to take a break and play on the Winnie the Pooh themed playground.

Doodle Bug wasn't too sure about the carousel at first, but then when the ride ended, he cried because he didn't want to get off!!!

Here we are riding the train around Disney!

By 12:30, Doodles was out!! Two hours of excitement is about all he can handle :o) He took a LONG nap at home too!

Hubby and I enjoyed watching Doodle Bug explore Disney World for the first time!! We had so much fun as a family. This is the best part of parenthood.
