Well, anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE pizza!!!! My hubby took me to New York City a couple of years ago and we had pizza for breakfast, lunch, and dinner the whole time we were there. (Except for one night where hubby insisted on going to a really nice restaurant. But, that's another story.) I also enjoy making homemade pizza. A few of my friends and family that have tasted it, have even said that I make a pretty good pie! So, ever since discovering my son's Milk/Soy Protein allergy, giving up pizza for me has been the hardest thing ever. I'd rather go through labor and delivery again over giving up pizza!
Well, I was shopping at whole foods yesterday and guess what I found!!!! Cheese that does not contain Milk or Soy!!!! Previously, I had found dairy free cheeses, but they always contained soy. So when I made this little discovery, I was literally doing cartwheels in the store. Needless, to say, I made pizza last night. I rolled out the dough, spread my dairy/soy free sauce, sprinkled on the milk/soy free cheese (with real mozzarella on the other half for hubby, because I'm nice like that :o)) added tomato slices and roasted red peppers, then shoved it in the oven to bake. In fifteen minutes I would be devouring pizza!!
When I pulled the pie out of the oven, my dairy/soy free side looked just like hubby's real cheese side. So, I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into it!!! I sliced it up and put it on plates. Hubby and I bit into our pizzas at the same time. Even he was excited because he hasn't been able to eat pizza either (if I couldn't eat it, there was NO way I was making it!). Hubby made some Mmmmm sounds while he bit into his pizza and I was making some gagging sounds as I bit into mine! You see, I forgot the "fake" cheese probably wouldn't taste like the real thing. The taste was so horrible that it is indescribable! So bad, that I scraped the cheese off and just ate the sauce covered crust! Oh well, I tried! Only 5 more months until Doodlebug is one year old and I can stop nursing. The count down begins!!!!

Fun in the Sun!!!
Doodlebug and I went to the park today to get some fresh air. We met up with some of our friends and had a great time!
Here he is swinging with his friend L. He studied everything L did at the park today. At one point, L screamed as loud as he could. Doodlebug must have noticed because as soon as we got in the truck (and all afternoon) he has been screaming just like L. When he runs out of breath from screaming, he laughs about it :o)

Here is I enjoying the "Big Kid Swing" too! Oops, don't forget to wear your seat belt ;o)
PS~I changed my background to monkeys because yesterday, doodles was climbing like one. He was in his pack-n-play and placed one hand on the rail. Then reached and put the other hand up. He took a deep breath and pulled with all his might. He was able to get his head, chest, and most of his belly up off the bed. It won't be long before he's pulling himself all the way up. I'm amazed at how quickly they grow up!!!

Balloon fun!!!
I stopped at Party City to buy a balloon for a birthday today and while I was there, I bought one for the little doodlebug too. It was his first time seeing a helium balloon. When the girl blew the helium balloon up, it made a loud noise. But, that didn't bother J, he just watched as the balloon floated up. When we got home, I tied it to his high chair and let him play. He had fun, but Mommy took it away after just a couple of minutes because she was afraid of him getting tangled in the ribbon, or the balloon popping while he tried to "taste" it!
Is this a sign of the times?
So, Saturday night, Hubby and I were going to sleep. It was around 11:00 or 11:30pm and I was just dosing off when Hubby jumps out of bed and peers out the window. I asked what he was doing and he said he has this weird feeling that someone is breaking into his car. I brushed it off and said go back to sleep. Instead, he went down stairs and got his computer bag with his laptop out of the car(thankfully) and then hid his Ipod, Radar Detector, and his Navigation in the center console. Then we went to bed.
This morning, Hubby gets in his car to drive to work. He reaches for the Ipod, Radar Detector and Navigation and doesn't feel it. He looks inside the console to discover its EMPTY! He then looks at the dashboard to see that all of the cable hook-ups for all 3 electronic devices are gone. The theives even took the phone charger! When you realize you've been robbed, it leaves such a sickening feeling inside. The electronics were not permanently attached to the car, so we can't turn it into insurance. We could go through home owners, but then we run risk of them dropping us or raising our rates. Plus, our deductible is $500.00...so is it worth it? No! Therefore, it's not even worth calling the cops. So, I guess these are smart theives, they steal just enough to where you won't do anything about it. It makes me nervous, because all the theives have to do is hit the garage door button and now they're in our house!
Oh, I forgot to mention the "icing on the cake"!!!!!! Hubby worked down in South Florida last week. As he was driving home on Thursday, he was pulled over by FHP. Most of you think speeding (not anymore since little doodlebug arrived). No, he was pulled over because his window tint was too dark! Seriously, I didn't even think you got pulled over for that. I thought that was just something cops use to "add-on" to a ticket when they pull you over for actually committing a crime. So his weekend started with a $101.00 ticket for dark window tint and ended with having his electronics stolen. What a weekend!!!!

One of many "firsts" to come...
Well, J has been having many "firsts" lately. First rollover, first army crawl, first drink out of sippy cup (he's not that good at it), first time in the hot tub, and now he can add first time out on the boat!!!

Relaxing in South Florida!
After the stress of his baptism, little J had to go down to South Florida for some relaxation. Above he has his swimming trunks on and is waiting for a bottle from mom.
Afterwards, J went for a dip in the "Not-so-Hot" hot tub. (Before you call children's services on me, the temperature of the hot tub was lowered to luke-warm) This was J's first time in the hot tub. He enjoyed splashing with his hands and kicking with his feet. Now that he is all recuperated, he is ready to return to Orlando and get back to his routine!

J's Baptism
We had J baptized this weekend. Of course, he was the baby that CRIED through the ENTIRE ceremony. I tried to keep a smile on my face. Unfortunately, I didn't hear a thing the Priest said...and I don't think anyone else did either. There were 4 other baby girls getting baptized as well. They were perfectly well behaved babies. A lady came up to me during the ceremony and said, "Don't worry, the more they cry, the more blessings they get from God." I think she meant to make me feel better...it didn't work.
I do want to say Thank You!!!!! to everyone who came. Most of Hubby's family, and all of mine, live out of town. I'm so thankful to all of those who made the long trip to come and share this special moment with us!!! We truly are blessed!!!

Dr. Seuss's Birthday
Yesterday was Dr. Seuss's Birthday. To celebrate, J and I read The Cat in the Hat! His job was to turn the pages while I read! Here are some silly pictures :o)

We just couldn't wait...
Well, over the weekend, my hubby and I did some shopping. While we were at Sams, we saw a HUGE stuffed caterpillar and we just had to have it for our little doodlebug. We thought we would save it and give it to him for Easter. Of course, when we got home, neither of us could wait!!!! Here are some pictures of little doodlebug playing with his caterpillar.
When he woke up this morning, it was the first thing he wanted to play with. I've also noticed that he likes to bang things with his hands. I remembered he received a "Bed Bugs" gift for Christmas. So I dug it out of the closet and put it in front of him. He knew right away where to start banging!!! Just look at the concentration. He's such a boy!
